In the morning, departure for Manyara National Park.
The cliffs of the Rift Valley border the lake and give the park a magnificent setting that Ernest Hemingway would describe as “the most beautiful (he had) ever seen in Africa”.
Lake, plains but also lush forest or acacias: the diversity of landscapes goes hand in hand with an equally varied fauna. Wildebeest, zebras, hippo, elephants, antelopes… If you are lucky, you may be able to surprise a lion resting quietly, in the heights of an acacia tree!
Picnic lunch under the acacias before heading to the Karatu region.
